    • Pennsylvania Municipal Authorities Association

      Feb 1995 - Oct 1998
      Membership/Sales Manager

The Pennsylvania Municipal Authorities Association, PMAA, has been the primary voice of community-based services representing the interests of more than 2,600 municipal authorities across Pennsylvania. Services provided by the association include advocacy on governmental affairs issues, education and training and group programs.PMAA is the largest association in the Commonwealth specifically representing the interests of municipal authorities. While at PMMA, my focus areas were to identify prospective members, manage the membership recruitment campaigns, address municipal boards on the benefits of PMAA, manage the exhibits/sponsorship program at the annual and create & develop the association’s web presence. My accomplishments included: creating a non-member database which identified over 400+ potential municipal members, instituted a membership campaign that increased membership growth by 20%, increased exhibit participation by 25% and developed the associations inaugural website. What I am most proud of with my work at PMAA is that I stepped into this new position where the skills, requirements and goals were not defined and succeeded. After nearly 4 years at PMAA, I left the association with the management tools that were not present when I started: website, prospective membership database, definition of the membership committee roles and updated membership marketing materials.
