      ● Led a cross-disciplinary team to propose a new lab-based research project to tackle the climate crisis. ● Conducted extensive literature review into the synthesis of quantum dots and their application in accurately detecting highly toxic pollutants. ● Proposed a novel use of nitrogen-doped quantum dots (N-GQDs) as a nanoprobe or a fluorescent sensing platform via nonenzymatic photoluminescence detection of hydroquinone. ● Hypothesized that the quenching effect should be observed when N-GQDs are mixed in both hydroquinone and p-benzoquinone because N-GQDs have higher quantum yield, stronger electron-withdrawing ability, and excellent photoluminescence properties and catalytic activity. The participants came from wide-ranging universities (e.g., Ashesi, Duke, Harvard, KCL, UofT, etc.) and 8 countries (e.g., Canada, USA, Ghana, Jamaica, Sweden, etc.)Executive Summary:● i-CuRL (International Curricular Reciprocal Learning Initiative) aims to integrate global learning into the general post-secondary curriculum by using technologies to overcome logistical barriers of implementing high-touch global classrooms particularly in large-size classes through two stages: 1) creating an AI-powered matching platform that facilitates in finding the suitable match for both partners worldwide to co-create a reciprocal global learning partnership that meet the needs of both sides, and 2) using a versatile, low-bandwidth peer-assessment collaborative tool to allow meaningful high-touch global classroom activities that can be easily implemented in the context of large-size university classes (e.g., +1000 students) from global faculty partners. In the future, we aspire to move towards a sustainable global learning ecosystem by using blockchain and smart contracts technologies to create a decentralized financial (DeFi) revenue model and investment management platform. Using DeFi would allow for more efficient pooling of fundings and linking all stakeholders like faculty, students, investors, affiliated entities, etc. Show less

This paper discusses how reforming educational policies and transforming ideas into real actions would provide long-term solutions to the incurable aspect of Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) in Thailand. The paper analyzes the implications of the Thai government’s inappropriate neoliberal policies to increase commodification of public education rather than solving the problems of low and uneven quality of Thai upper secondary education, which arguably are the major 'fundamental causes' of higher incidence of AD and chronic stress. A thorough analysis of health issues via political economy and sociological lens will set a stage for tackling the root causes of AD. Show less
