For ten years, my work in this role required effective communication at multiple levels through various platforms to initiate and maintain collaborative relationships with students, parents, teachers, administrators and staff. I communicated all lesson, unit and project objectives to the students and their parents using a variety of instructional tools, i.e.: Elmo, School pad, etc. I also presented subject matter content through various multimedia products according to guidelines established by the Texas Education Agency, board policies, administrative guidelines and the District curriculum. My position required initiative and effective communication to lead meetings where I would present student's goals, objectives and behavior intervention plans to other faculty members, administrators, and parents during confidential Annual, Review and Dismissal meetings.I was responsible for multiple actions happening concurrently in the public school setting. Initiating, writing, reviewing, and executing weekly lesson plans to foster student understanding of content in math, language arts, social studies and science to align student learning with the district's philosophy of instruction toward the achievement of curriculum goals. I also conducted formative evaluations of student learning and used results to plan and implement instruction while maintaining confidentiality with all student information. I initiated accelerated instruction to each student meeting any of the state“ at risk” criteria in order for the student to perform satisfactorily on the state assessment. I also created and integrated Level of Academic Achievement and Functional Performance for students with individualized education plans to maintain effective learning strategies with individualized goals and objectives for each student to help them gain and apply knowledge and 21st century skills. Learning Expert

I supported the NASA Education Professional Development line of business by coordinating NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC) Office of Education events with external collaborative partners (i.e. school districts, science centers, higher education institutions. I also organized, led and developed NASA Education professional development sessions with messages aligned to agency campaigns that informed and equipped formal and informal educators and external stakeholders to communicate the benefits of human spaceflight activities. I collaborated with my team to establish and maintain effective working relationship with external stakeholders representing educational agencies, Texas school districts, Texas higher education institutions, and the Texas Space Grant Consortium. I was responsible for communicating NASA mission-related activities to our collaborative stakeholders and education communities and providing a communication channel for them to share their STEM engagement activities with the Network of States advisory board. As a result of my support, our team successfully built a relationship with a dozen partner education institutions in the state of Texas and Oklahoma, known as the Network of States which culminated in summer institutes to train 40+ master educators from their institutions. The master educators then returned to their institutions to offer partner-delivered professional development with NASA resources and reported over 1,000 educators received 40 hours of training.I designed and developed multimedia presentations and organized materials for breakout sessions using NASA Education resources for various conferences, conventions and professional meetings such as National Science Teacher of Association, SEEC, Conference for the Advancement of Science Teaching, Microgravity University for Educators (MgUE), Network of States Train-the-Trainers Institute and Minority University Research and Education Project Educator Institutes. My current role requires the ability to coordinate multiple activities at once, while remaining flexible enough to handle high priority tasks in a high pace environment. I manage an average of 20 caseloads annually, which require minute attention to detail and a working knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations governing special education. In addition, I develop, write, review and edit weekly lesson plans to foster student understanding of content in math, language arts, social studies and science and maintain effective learning strategies through Present Level of Academic Achievement and Functional Performance reports. I align teaching and available resources to the District curriculum and communicate subject matter through various multimedia products according to guidelines established by the Texas Education Agency, board policies, administrative guidelines and the District curriculum. I create individualized goals and objectives for each student to help them gain and apply knowledge and 21st century skills and provide accelerated instruction to every student that meets any of the state“ at risk” criteria in order for the student to perform satisfactorily on the state assessment. I conduct formative evaluations of student learning and use results to plan and implement instruction. I collaborate with a group of about 20 teachers to modify curricula and instruction as needed for special education, 504, ELL, and GT students according to guidelines established. My department head has praised the thoroughness of my work and initiative to serve the best interest of our students. At the end of the 2018-19 school year, I received special recognition from the Clear Creek Independent School District and Seabrook Intermediate School because my student passing rates in language arts increased by thirty percent.
