  When I began this job at the age of 15, I was quickly immersed in a fast paced, pressure heavy environment. Luckily, I was a quick learner and became familiar with most of the service oriented parts of the store in the matter of about 6 months. I moved up about a year later to the role of Crew Trainer, where I began to train and oversee new employees. Over the three years, I learned almost every thing there was to do in the store. In about the last six months of my time at the Eagle McDonald's, I began to learn some management responsibilities, and began to help the managers during busy days, assisting with delegating positions and making sure everything ran smoothly.   As a Vet Tech at Eagle Animal Clinic, I was tasked with a list of things to get done in the last few hours the clinic was open, as well as helping the Veterinary Technicians with whatever they may need during their shifts. I did a multitude of things, including maintaining the cleanliness of everything in the clinic, assisting with bringing the animals outside to their owners, and getting the clinic ready to open the next day.

  As an employee at the West Lafayette DQ, I was a team member during closing shifts. I changed positions often and was quickly trained on all parts of the store. I worked in the kitchen primarily, where I cleaned and did dishes during down time and helped the front during rushes with small amounts of food being ordered. I also helped with maintaining the cleanliness of the lobby, store, and bathrooms.

  As a mission director in Purdue Space Program Satellites, I am in charge of a team involved in the design and development of a CubeSat mission, in which our team, made up entirely of students, performs the entire engineering process, from start to finish, when we hand our finished satellite, valued at to a launch service provider to be launched into orbit. In addition to contributing to design, development, and testing of the CubeSat missions, my team and I are involved in the writing and submitting of the proposals sent to NASA CSLI (NASA CubeSat Launch Initiative) in order to gain approval and funding to launch for both missions.   As a team member at Panera, I work in the kitchen to prepare and serve food to customers during meal swipe hours, meaning there is always a rush and everything is always busy. I have found myself to thrive in a fast, high pressure environment, so this job has been very beneficial for me to balance with my studies. I had to learn how to work with a team in close quarters to serve customers as quickly and efficiently as possible while still serving high quality food. As a part of the closing crew once a week, it is my job to make sure that the store is ready to close, everything is clean and shut down, and that each space is stocked for the people in the next shift.
