  I worked for the current governor of Colorado, Jared Polis, who served the U.S. Congress in the 2nd district of Colorado from 2009 to 2019. As an internship for my political science degree, I gained hands-on experience of working in the government for the public good.

  Missionary

  I spent two years in volunteer missionary service to the homeless population in Denver. The mission of Christ in the City (CIC) is to know, love, and serve the poor. CIC carries out this mission by encountering individuals experiencing homelessness and building relationships with them, assisting them through the physical, emotional, and spiritual challenges of living on the streets.In addition to being a missionary service program, CIC is a young adult formation program dedicated to forming missionaries for life. The four pillars of formation, human, spiritual, intellectual, and apostolic, constitute the core of CIC's program. CIC also hosts mission trips every March, in which college students from across the nation are welcomed to participate in knowing, loving, and serving the poor.During my time as missionary, I also had hands-on experience as a Donor Relations Advocate, serving in the role to promote our mission, reach out to donors, and fundraise for the organization.
