      Apr 2017 - Sept 2017
      Master Thesis Project

Simulation and modeling of the two-phase flow in the carburetor:The aim of the work is to improve the model quality when simulating idle and partial load conditions of carburetors employing STIHL's in-house 1D simulation software by better taking into account the relevant throttling mechanisms of the fuel mass flow. For a qualitative evaluation of the 1D modeling hypothesis, two-phase flow 3D CFD simulations were used (ANSYS FLUENT).
