Jul 2017 - May 2019Scaling up rural youth access to inclusive financial services for entrepreneurship and employment project was an IFAD funded project whose aim was to support at least 10,000 young people engaged in agribusiness. The project main target were the youth and provided technical assistance, incubation services and investment/partnership opportunities to youth groups and individuals in agriculture. During my tenure ,my roles and responsibilities included but not limited to:1. Focal point for administrative coordination of project implementation by building relationship and collaborations with team, actors, and beneficiaries across Eastern Africa.2. Identified and linked over 300 Agri-SMEs to opportunities access finance to facilitate growth and development of their business ventures. 3. Prepared and updated contracts for at least 50 service providers, concept notes and periodic reports for the project activities across Eastern Africa. 4. Compiled, summarized and present basic information on specific program entrepreneurship and related topics and coordination of business advisory services for at least 300 Agri-SMEs using a market facilitation approach.5. Identified and Organized partnership opportunities for Agri-SMEs, training workshops, staff, and stakeholder’s forum across the region. 6. Jun 2019 - May 2023GAIN and CARE are implementing the CAtalyzing Strengthened policy aCtion for heAlthy Diets and resiliencE (CASCADE) that aims to improve food security and contribute to the reduction of malnutrition of at least 5 million women of reproductive age and children under 5 in Benin, Nigeria, Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia and Mozambique. The programme has two strategic objectives: it aims to increase access to and consumption of healthy diets, as well as increasing the resilience of households to economic and climate change-related shocks across the six countries, with a focus on women of reproductive age and children. Show less The Commercialisation of Bio-fortified Crops (CBC) program is a partnership between the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition and HarvestPlus that shares an ambition to expand coverage of bio-fortified nutrient-dense foods to at least 190.6 million consumers in Africa and Asia by 2022.In Kenya,the current focus is to expand the coverage of nutrient dense crops to over 2.9 million consumers by 2022 while transiting over 168,000 smallholder farmers from subsistence to commercial farming. It facilitates partnerships and knowledge sharing across the agriculture value chain and catalyzes innovations that support SMEs whose product and services have potential to improve the diets of vulnerable communities. My main roles and responsibilities include but not limited to: 1. Participate actively in team events, including but not limited to planning , facilitating and execution of conference and seminars on Zoom, Microsoft Teams.2. Working closely with grantees ,service providers and partners to contribute towards systematic learning and reflection processes that lead to continuous adaptive management.3.
