  Company & Product Profile: One of the leading steel foundry in Tamilnadhu, Manufacturing around 1500MT of steel castings per annum.Role: Asst.Manager-Quality Assurance/Quality Control/Methods and development and a Team leader for a technical team consist of 10 Members. Review of customer complaints and internal NCR’s at the time of order review for pattern or process correction before order execution. New Product development/New Grade development / Study of customer enquiries/Review of RFQ. Initiating corrective & preventive actions for internal quality issues in terms of dimensional, Methoding & Process.  Training programmes down the line working personals on new customer requirements/ New technology upgradation.Achievements: Heavy walled large size valves development – Foot riser failures and “Piping” issue for the past one year being resolved within short span of time (Two Months). More than 5 parts which weighing single piece weight more than 1MT been successfully developed with Radiographic quality level.Controll of AIN cracks in Large size /High Pressure Class Valve Grade Development- Reduced DP defects and cycle time in CW6MC & CU5MCuC. Highest Duplex Stainless Steel (4A) tonnage been produced with desired quality – Around 80MT within two months. “Zero defect” Super Duplex Stainless Steel (5A) Casting been produced. Successful developments of Ball castings with more than 50% Reduced weld rod consumption from the previous year. Rejection control – Customer rejection reduced to 1.06% (2015) from 3.5 %( 2014) and Internal rejection reduced to 1.7 %( 2015) from 5.3 %( 2014). Almost 70% been reduced from the previous year with 30% increase in production (1500MT Achieved in both pouring and despatch). Successful development of Low temperature Carbon Steel Impact properties without special alloying elements. Successful development of innovative gating methods.
