      Over an unforgettable seven weeks, I learned an incredible amount about publishing, marketing, and publicity. Some of my daily tasks and long-term projects included:- Organizing a week long blog tour for Ben Miller’s book ‘The Night I Met Father Christmas’- Drafting and editing press releases for books publishing in early 2019- Assisting with press cuttings and publicity mailings- Researching and contacting Instagram influencers for book promotions, publicity, and competitions, specifically for 'A Very Corgi Christmas' and 'The Sea Saw'- Designing marketing postcards for 'A Light in the Night'- Creating content for various social media platforms including Twitter (@simonkids_UK, @hastagreads), Instagram (@simonkidsuk), Facebook, Tumblr, and PopJam- Scheduling tweets from November 2018 - March 2019 through Tweet Deck- Creating posters and showcards for private parties, book signings, and promotional events- Assisting with website updates and digital asset creation- Prepping meeting rooms for in-house singings, assisting with in-house signings, and prepping signed books for distribution Show less

      Over the past three years, I have held three roles on "The Cowl." First, Opinion Writer, then Opinion Co-Editor, and now, Associate Editor-in-Chief (AEIC) of "The Cowl." As AEIC, I:- Assist the Editor-in-Chief with running Providence College’s weekly student-run paper (28-32 pages).- Work closely with the Deans of Students, managing editor, and other college administrators.- Visit and contact local Providence businesses who are interested in buying advertisement space. - Conduct research to maximize on-campus circulation and distribution. - Review and edit 20+ pages on Adobe InDesign before submitting to TCI printing press in Massachusetts.- Ensure that writers and editors are creating solid content that they are proud of, all while respecting thecollege’s Dominican and Catholic values.
