Sessions involved attending lectures from Biochemists such as Dr Robert Layfield about neurological disorders as well as lectures on Psychology. The course involved a trip to the Sir Peter Mansfield Magnetic Resonance Centre to learn about the mechanisms of the MRI machine as well as a presentation at the end to showcase our learnings.

  My work experience placement included shadowing Dr Dave at St Andrews House Mental Health Centre. I attended appointments with patients suffering from a range of mental health issues including depression, schizophrenia, anxiety, OCD etc. As part of my placement I also visited a care home for the elderly who suffered with schizophrenia.
