  Title: Manufacturing Waste Reduction in a Garments Industry.– Project focused on Reduction of changeover time in stitching department by applying lean tool Single Minute Exchange of Die (SMED).– First data of stitching line was collected by time study of operations and time study of operations during changeover.– Find out the delays from collected data, after doing RCA (Pareto Charts and Fishbone diagram) major causes of delays were found.– To convert the internal activities to external activities or reduced the impact of causes on changeover delay following methodologies were implemented 5s, Kanban and Changeover Box.– Resulting, improved productivity by 14.9% which was affecting before due to the delays during changeover.   – Part of a team to implement Smart Warehouse Management System for better traceability of fabric roll. For the digitization of warehouse, introducing scanning system for Receiving and Issuance of fabric.– Perform packing list and batch upload process on ERP/ WMS.– Prepare suggested pallet plans after putting Gate Inward, Article Number and Batch Number.– Build Automatic Pallet on WMS according to the suggested plan.– Prepare the Put Away plans.– Generating reconciliation report of warehouse stock.– Assist the other sections of warehouse such as printing the stickers of rolls if they’re not correct.– Training of warehouse staff to get them familiar with Smart Warehouse Management System.
