My first job!Worked here in the Build & Release Team; used Perl scripting to automate repetitive and mundane tasks.Used InstallShield, InstallScript, FinalBuilder and WiX to build Windows installers.IBM Rational tools (BuildForge, ClearCase, ClearQuest) and TFS were used for version control and build automation.Handled Major Releases and Hotfix Build processes for Diebold’s software products along with other development and support projects.P.S.: Automating your own work is fun! Feb 2015 - Sept 2019
      Senior Engineer - Network Automation

      * Innovating Automation, Automating Innovation *This role involves end-to-end designing and building tools to automate various network related activities for speed, accuracy and performance. These tools include, but are not limited to, NFV tools like the Automated Device Config Makers, Automatic iPERF testing tool, and the SDWAN project that we are excitedly working on!We work in a Linux environment and use majorly Python to build our tools. Some of our legacy tools also use Perl and some more legacy tools are built in Bash. We primarily use MySQL for our data storage, and Redis is employed at times for high speed performance. We use Git for version control. Earlier we used SVN, and in stone age times we used to do away with merely file backups and smart renaming..Our tools are web based, and though we aren't expert web or graphic designers, we do build decent, minimalist (because simple is beautiful!) and dynamic web pages, and extensively use JavaScript, WebSockets (these are used to display real-time activities performed on the devices), AJAX, DataTables. etc.We are code enthusiasts.Sometimes we code to deal with reports, complex MS Excel sheets.Sometimes we code to configure thousands of routers and switches in just a few minutes! At other times, we code to build awesome tools! So,That's what I do:I code and I know things!
