      EleValle is a collaborative (2008) of organizations in the South Valley that began to work toward a healthier community by strengthening families through community driven solutions. The collaborative today is made up of Casa de Salud- a primary care clinic they offers a wide array of services including addictions services, primary care and traditional medicine options; Centro Savila- a behavioral health and mental health clinic that also offers health insurance enrollment and works alongside Casa de Salud in addictions services; and ACCESS (Arts, Community, Culture, Education, Sports and Science) which focuses on community engagement and leadership development through intergenerational activities for families. Alongside the community and with partner organizations, EleValle works to reduce ACEs (adverse childhood events). EleValle has worked with many community partners advocating for the creation of the Bernalillo County Community Health Task Force and adoption of their recommendations to address many issues by developing community health safety net(s). EleValle advocates for systems change when we see health disparities, inequities and injustices. We work to educate and show our communities members we work alongside with everyday how to advocate through systems and their barriers. Each of the EleValle organizations are part of Pathways to a Healthy Bernalillo and has a navigator(s) also know as community health worker(s) that are able to help Bernalillo County residents.       The South Valley Economic Development Center (SVEDC) Initiative Manager oversees four programs, a bilingual networking event for entrepreneurs, and manages the operations of New Mexico’s largest shared commercial kitchen. The SVEDC is a non traditional business incubator focused on supporting food entrepreneurs from concept to feasibility to sustainability and scaling. The SVEDC manager works in collaboration with RGCDC staff, contractors, partner organizations and volunteers to ensure Program Participants are properly assisted, supported, and guided to achieve the goals of each program housed at the SVEDC. Additionally, this position in coordination with the Economic Development Division Director supports in the development and implementation of program improvements and assesses and implements strategies to ensure the initiative meets its strategic goals.The South Valley Economic Development Center (SVEDC) is an RGCDC’s initiative that started operations in 2005 with a goal of catalyzing the economy of the South Valley. Over the past 16 years, SVEDC has greatly expanded its services to a wider demographic and geographic range. Today, in addition to house programs to enable economic development in the South Valley and throughout New Mexico, the SVEDC is one of RGCDC’s critical initiatives designed to build a sustainable and equitable food systems in New Mexico.
