  I progressed quickly in this role, from freelance writer to Newsletter Editor, to Editorial Coordinator and then Media & Communications Coordinator.As a freelance writer, I submitted mostly short form articles and blog posts, and occasionally longer pieces. I carried out research on climate issues, received critical feedback and worked to improve my writing skills.As the Newsletter Editor, I continued writing articles but also took on the lead for producing the monthly newsletter. I grew the subscribers from fewer than 1000 to nearly 5000 in less than a year, by producing informative, engaging, and fresh content, and collaborating with the Social Media team to promote new editions.As the Editorial Coordinator, I further honed my research and writing skills. Researching, writing, and editing articles, blog posts, social media content with a climate impact focus, and engaging and empowering messaging. I collaborated with the Messaging team to develop our narrative and campaign strategy and led my team to implement it seamlessly and effectively.As the Media and Communications Coordinator, I led teams to deliver our campaign strategy, engage members. I facilitated weekly meetings to ideate on creative campaigns, fundraisers, and writing themes. I led content writing workshops to develop the teams’ skills and confidence. Projects include tech for good, such as apps and games, as well as digital campaigns.My role has developed concurrently with the social enterprise, having streamlined and managed daily operations since it was founded in March 2020, including communications on Slack and a monthly newsletter with Mailerlite (previously Mailchimp).I design and facilitate workshops and events to introduce new members to the community and provide support in helping them become active members and empower them to bring their own ideas to the community and start their own projects.Through creating engaging content and designing a recruitment and onboarding strategy, I have increased the size of our community and attendance at workshops and events. I facilitated group onboarding sessions and trained others in facilitation, agenda writing, and meeting organisationI soon took on the additional role of Research lead where I led and collaborated with the team to conduct meticulous research, which included identifying 10 sustainable policies the People's Plan is built on as well as a detailed report on public engagementI completed the administration necessary to register the People's Plan as a Community Interest Company and became a Director.
