  In order to gain insight into the wine marketing division along and experience the sales floor, I worked in the chain sales division for Gallo Wine Sales for a year rotation. During this experience, I rode along with different levels of management in order to gain management depth regarding responsibilities and market strategy. Experience included on and off sales premise with commission sales and wine sets strategy.

  Oversaw about 15 projects of new products, cost savings projects and package material changes in a short period of time. Calculated cost savings, waste factors and returns and presented all findings to upper management to help drive business flourishing brand decisions. In my assistant distiller role I took full ownership of our evolving brandy operation including a few new flavored brandies such as Apple and Peach. Utilizing my chemical engineering degree to the fullest, we experimented with new barrel aging methods, distilling new varietals and testing new mouth feel contributors. Cost savings practices and entrepreneurship were some of the most frequent skills I used to help guide business decisions and ensure maximum utilization of the brandy program.

  Warehouse Manager

  As the head manager in approximately 1M sq. ft. of warehousing space, we are faced with multiple challenges including a yearly volume of about 30M cases of movement. We supply our six bottling lines with daily materials along with being the companies main shipping distribution center. All finished cases from co-packers and imports move through our warehouse through rail and trucks about five, sometimes six days a week.
