Since it involved integration with other parts of the application and even with other teams, at times it seemed like the blocks and impediments to this development/implementation would never end. However, the team overcame them phase by phase.We had some back and forth regarding the release date until the long-awaited day arrived to deploy the project, which was successfully implemented after 2 days/nights.With a surprising result and a very high utilization rate of the new flow, every member of this team can take pride in being part of this transformation. Our objectives were the same—both we and the client wanted to increase operational efficiency and improve the product. For this, a fundamental pillar was quality.The proposal was to rebuild the mindset of testing! We wanted to increase our automated test coverage, but in which direction? The defined strategy was the testing pyramid, still with a concept to be explored, with few internal references and limited standardized procedures. We needed to run tests to see.The team was selected, given a roadmap and the coordinates of the finish line. From there, they embarked on a path of tool exploration, code architecture, implementation patterns, flowcharts for layer definition, distribution of responsibilities, task breakdown, planning estimations, execution within sprints, categorized time tracking, and execution reports.This resulted not only in increased product reliability but also in a significant reduction in rework rates. And due to the organization of information across the layers of the pyramid, we were able to extract various metrics for analysis, standardization, and continuous improvement. This was the major starting point for other initiatives—a set of practices that made the project a success story.Because they were pioneers in this initiative and exceeded the expected results, we congratulate the team for being outstanding!
