      Senior Administrative Assistant

      Sr. Admin Assistant in the Kalmanovitz School of Education, Graduate Counseling department. Providing administrative, operational, and retention practices to the 2nd largest graduate program on campus; this includes providing varying levels of support for 285+ students, department chair, 50+ adjunct faculty, 10 full-time faculty, which includes five program directors. Our program offers nine counseling and psychology pathways/specializations. Tasks include, but aren’t limited to: Liaison for students and campus partners, including Admissions, Financial Aid and Registrars offices; assist with student registration; testing proctor; facilitate new student orientation; research & plan department team building opportunities for staff and faculty; budget maintenance & tracking; scheduling & calendar management for department leaders; responsible for sending department communications, updates and campus happenings to students regularly. High volume of work, with pivoting priorities and strict deadlines implemented by state and government officials, due to licensing practices. Assess and resolve graduating student issues. My position also requires a heavy amount of data reporting, including creating, running and sorting query reports; analyze data collection and present to department stakeholders, ultimately helping strategize ways to improve enrollment, the student experience and the overall program. Lastly, as the first point of contact for the department, in addition to the above list of duties and responsibilities I help by providing exceptional customer service to visitors, vendors, instructors, students, alumni, faculty and campus partners.
