      Nov 2013 - Mar 2017
      Life Skills Specialist

Evergreen Supported Living is a local non-profit organization that offers support services to adults with developmental disabilities. Working as a Life Skills Specialist I had the opportunity to care for an adult woman that has been diagnosed with Down Syndrome and Autism. I worked to foster her independence and encourage her active participation as a member of the community. When the organization was going through a branding change, I also helped re-design their logo which they continue to use today! Show less

    • On Purpose - Life Coaching and Counselin

      Sept 2015 - Mar 2017
      Administrative Assistant

On Purpose is an independent life coaching organization that holds clinics and workshops internationally. As an Personal Assistant I had the pportunity to work directly with the Founder of On Purpose. A majority of my efforts were focused on effectively communicating with clients via their preferred method of communication (e.g. phone, e-mail, instant messenger) and improving marketing and workshop materials. My knowledge of business standards, familiarity with multiple technological services, and expertise in Microsoft Programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, etc.) proved to be essential in maintaining and expanding the client-base at On Purpose. • Mary's Place

      Apr 2017 - Sept 2019

Mary's Place is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting women, children, and families experiencing homelessness by providing safe, inclusive shelter and services. With basic necessities met, the guests we support are able to focus on finding permanent housing solutions. As the Volunteer Engagement Manager, I lead a team of Volunteer Coordinators in creating and implementing opportunities for community members to support the organization's mission. Each coordinator was in charge of a niche subject, so leadership had to be catered to a diverse set of goals, locations, and supporting departments. In addition to building positive relationships within my team, I was responsible for acting as the primary coordinator across leadership in the other departments throughout the organization and establishing lasting partnerships within the community. Furthermore, I launched initiatives to support the growth of the organization and our volunteer team. Specifically, I also oversaw the launch of a 3-year plan to diversify our volunteer community and established an internship program for volunteers to support high-need areas. Show less As a Volunteer Coordinator at Mary's Place, I was the first point of contact for community members interested in supporting the organization. This included providing information to those interested in donating financially, through in-kind contributions, or by giving their time. The organization had grown rapidly and was a "name-brand" non-profit in the Seattle area. This resulted in a high level of community interest and in order to capture all of the enthusiasm, quick-response time and superior customer service were essential to succeed. I would respond to anywhere between 30-50 unique inquiries daily and coordinate groups or individuals to serve across 10 locations and 7 distinct departments. In addition to fulfilling my daily responsibilities of coordinating volunteers via phone and e-mail, I lead the volunteers while they were on-site. And, took on an additional project of developing a volunteer recognition program to promote retention and keep the volunteers coming back! Show less

      ReStore Assistant Manager

Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit that operates internationally with the mission of bringing people together to build homes, communities, and hope. As the ReStore Assistant Manager at the Blue Spruce Habitat for Humanity affiliate, I have the pleasure of creatively raising funds to support our construction efforts. At the ReStore, we sell new and gently used furniture, appliances, hardware home decor, and more - keeping tons of products out of the landfill and reducing construction costs at our build site. During my time at this organization, I have set several record-breaking sales numbers, including the 2nd and 3rd highest sales days in the stores 10-years of operation! Additionally, I have increased volunteer retention by transforming court-appointed community service volunteers into full-time service members and expanding volunteer opportunities to include off-site projects.
