  Provost's Student/Faculty Collaborative Research Grant Recipient Julian Schuster, Provost of Webster University May 2015 I had the pleasure of working in conjunction with a Webster University professor to conduct educational research within the Valley Park school district. My research project was aimed at studying the efficacy of a reading comprehension strategy called Directed Reading Thinking Activity (DRTA). Based on preliminary findings, 75% of the students exceeded the expected rate of growth over a six week period of implementing this strategy.

During my freshman year of college, I donated my bone marrow to an anonymous recipient through DKMS Americas. It was a life changing experience to give someone a second chance at life.
