  Evaluate building sites for soil properties, geotechnical constraints, and geologic hazards. Drill boreholes and/or dig test excavations to log and sample soils and rock for testing in our laboratory. Write geotechnical reports detailing soil preparation, dealing with expansive or problematic soils, shallow groundwater, unstable slopes, or other factors that impact construction of structures, bridges, roads, waterlines, powerlines, or other infrastructure. Laurie was formerly with Buckhorn Geotech from 1998 through 2014 and Buckhorn was acquired by DOWL in January 2015.
