It is widelybelieved that the final theory of quantum gravity will determine the fundamentalstructure of space- time and should contain some sort of noncommutative structure.In this thesis, a Weyl-Wigner formulation of noncommutative quantummechanics is developed in arbitrary dimensions, displaying both spatial andmomentum noncommutativities. Considering some physical applications using the noncommutative extensionsof quantum mechanics, one finds that the introduction of the momentanoncommutative parameter is fundamental to obtain interesting results.
