  Campaign Specialist

  I recruited volunteers to participate in the Society’s endurance event training program (Team In Training) and raise funds to support the LLS mission. I stewarded individuals over a 3-4 month period to ensure they had a strong connection to the LLS mission, a positive experience in the program, and exceeded fundraising goals. The role required me to build comprehensive grassroots marketing plans to increase brand awareness and participation, regularly represent the Society at events in the Greater Boston area, and travel with campaign participants to act as the on-site manager during fundraising events. I consistently met and exceeded recruitment and fundraising benchmarks and built strong relationships with participants, resulting in a high yield of renewed involvement. I also advised and managed the LLS Junior Board, a group of students in grades 9-12 that provide monthly volunteer service to the Society. Show less

  I worked closely with groups of dedicated volunteers and donors to strengthen relationships and raise financial resources to fund City Year’s work in Boston Public Schools. In addition to my work as a relationship manager, I was the development team point for the Women’s Leadership Breakfast, where I managed a committee of 60 community leaders who helped us raise nearly $300,000. During my time with City Year, I worked collaboratively with site leadership to launch two inaugural development initiatives, our young professional group and our Boston Marathon fundraising program. I also oversaw the written content for our annual appeal communications, working closely on three campaigns that included print and media elements and raised $100,000. Show less

  As a member of the UW College of Engineering Advancement team, I lead development efforts for the departments of Civil & Environmental Engineering, Aeronautics & Astronautics, and Chemical Engineering. I partner closely with college leadership, volunteers and alumni to strategically develop and execute fundraising and external outreach efforts for each unit. I partnered with academic leadership, UW alumni and volunteers to increase private philanthropy for the departments of Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering and Materials Science & Engineering. I developed fundraising strategies to identify, engage, and inspire UW alumni and friends.
