      Medical case management intern

I assisted the clinic director in advocating for the continuation of funds for the Ric Crawford Clinic, an HIV clinic with government funding in Duluth, GA. I also assisted in trying to ensure new government funding changes did not negatively affect the clinic. Furthermore, I gained direct practice knowledge by working directly with HIV+ clients doing intakes and helping evaluate what services were needed by clients and connecting them to those services within the community. Where services were not previously known, I was to find such services and advocate on behalf of my clients in order for them to obtain the services they needed. Show less
