  This was my first voyage away from the Covington Fire Department working as a Firefighter/EMT. Having to learn a new dispatch, new operations involving volunteer firefighters, new equipment and apparatus, was an eye opening and very rewarding experience. I had never worked outside of Covington and I believe this experience helped form my approach to all aspects of the fire service in a positive way.

  I was a part time employee working as a Firefighter/Paramedic. I fulfilled all of the duties assigned as such, however, I also had the responsibility of supplying ALS service to surrounding communities. Driving the "chase car" was something I thoroughly enjoyed as I found myself not only learning new areas and personnel, but most importantly, advancing my paramedic skills.

Owned and operated by full time professional firefighters, I felt as if 911 Fleet and Fire Equipment offered experience and a level of understanding that many competitors may not have had.   Paramedic Firefighter

  SCFD operated a two man crew on a 24/48 hour work schedule, with two more personnel on shift Monday through Friday 8-4. All required duties assigned included apparatus checks, routine maintenance, and fire/EMS responses to over 40 square miles of territory. The biggest challenge I had was adjusting to Campbell County Dispatch, and the distance to the nearest hospital. Again, this experience improved my paramedic skills while at the same time giving me knowledge in fire service operations from another organization. Show less

  Operated as the Ohio EMS General Manager, charged with operational oversight of three divisional bases within the state. Worked to recruit and retain talent; manage day-to-day operations; ensure active service agreements were being maintained while marketing new opportunities, and handling all daily organizational issues. During my tenure I worked extremely hard, learned a lot, and am very thankful for the opportunity to have served and supported the mission of Amerimed EMS.
