I am required to use safe techniques as I take climbing holds off both the tall and short walls using either a ladder or ropes to gain access. I am also responsible to performing routine preventative measures on the climbing walls. I routinely clean the climbing holds and organize the necessary tools and materials as well.Along with my main responsibilities mentioned above, I work the front desk and as a safety belayer. I need to answer many questions posed by the public as they come in for the first time. I need to communicate the seriousness of climbing and how to do so as safe as possible. I handle belaying all ages from young toddlers to elderly adults. I work as a team when there are birthday parties with excited large groups of children to help them stay safe while having fun.
