He will compete at the Division level at the D40 Conference, April 12-14 in Lexington, Kentucky. Lanham has his eye on the top award: The World Championship of Public Speaking is an annual award in public speaking given to the winner of an international competition sponsored by Toastmasters International.There are two components to the competition: the speech competition requires a 5-7-minute speech. The Table Topics competition gives contestants a previously unknown question in which they have 1-2 minutes to respond.
