      The main part of the role was overseeing the management of a 40 place Early Years Childcare Centre with the responsibility of 11 staff and any attending students on experience/work placement. The position involved being a good communicator and excellent problem solver! Team leading and encouraging team building for staff to work together to promote a caring education environment. Networking and collaborating with other departments within the organisation and outside agencies was an important part of the role, along with carrying out the paperwork of the setting and financial records, such as funding, fee collections and banking.Organising training for staff and keeping it up to date was important as training needs was a compulsory element of staff's role.
