      National Science Foundation - Research Experience for Undergraduates (NSF REU) under Dr. Jay Gupta.• Developed a tool for clean transfer of two-dimensional (2D) materials onto desired surfaces.• Characterized transferred 2D flakes using SEM, AFM, optical microscopy, EDX, and Auger spectroscopy. Analyzed with WSxM.• Encapsulated water droplets under 2D flakes with the transfer tool.

      Hollen Lab - 2D Materials:• Studying the insulator phase of gold doped TaS2 with a scanning tunneling microscope (STM).• Led a project that optimized the electrochemical etching process of platinum-iridium wire and generated atomically sharp tips for STM.• Simulated STM tip-sample interactions using Finite Element Method Magnetics (FEMM) and MATLAB. Guided students through lab activities in General Physics I- introductory mechanics and General Physics II- fluids, waves, electricity and magnetism.
