My undergraduate and graduate degree programs included a wide variety of engineering and computer science courses. My M.S. research project was the development of computer vision algorithm to guide a water jet knife. This algorithm controlled the water jet knife during a trimming process designed to remove undesirable stem material from processing carrots. The algorithm I developed provided a guidance signal at the rate of 8 to 10 carrots per second for Gerber Products Company’s baby food production line. Show less
