I was an APC (Advanced Process Control) site champion liaising with controller developers and other stakeholders to help Goedehoop Colliery move into the 4th Industrial Revolution. This was by identifying potential process step opportunities for automisation, identifying the relevant hardware (Instrumentation) requirements and potential suppliers, hardware installation supervision, as well as rollout and commissioning of the controllers by coaching control room operators. Other key responsibilities involved ensuring that the Goedehoop Colliery "books" balanced through metallurgical accounting as well marketing. I compared and scrutinized the plant performance to its KPIs on a day-to day basis through control charts. I was responsible for monitoring the plant process and continuously assessing for any necessary improvements and troubleshootings. I was responsible for ensuring that plant equipment is up to standard and that planned work far exceeds breakdown work at Goedehoop Colliery to ensure a safe working environment. I conducted sampling and investigations into plant as well as laboratory issues as requested by the Plant Superintendent or self. I assisted in developing LIMN Process Simulations. Show less I was responsible for ensuring that the Goedehoop North and South Plant "books" balance through metallurgical accounting as well marketing. I compared and scrutinized the plant performance to its KPIs on a day-to day basis as well as capturing and distributing the information to relevant stakeholders. I was responsible for monitoring the plant process and continuously assessing for any necessary improvements. I was responsible for ensuring that plant equipment is up to standard and that planned work far exceeds breakdown work at North Plant. I conducted sampling and investigations into plant as well as laboratory issues as requested by the Plant Superintendent or self. I championed the Risk&Safety Standard during the IOF (Integrated Operational Framework) audit proving that Goedehoop is the leading operation in the world with regards to our risk and safety standards and application.
