  I created and led a dedicated 8 person team that provided a centre of excellence for driving change in, improving data quality of and re-engineering the most complex and critical infrastructure activities and defining best practice and standards for the rest of the organisation, including:• Transforming the infrastructure organisation into a business with product offerings and transparency to consumers with particular focus on product on boarding onto a Bill of IT and consumption inventory quality.• Defined global processes for Voice Recording and Playback covering FCA and Dodd Frank requirements• Expanded use of technology provisioning platform for Data Centre use by re-engineering Data Centre processes leading to significant efficiency savings e.g. increasing straight through processing of servers by 80%, reducing number of teams involved from 24 to 4, automating 26 activities previously provided by 13 teams for decommissioning process.• Providing regular worldwide hands-on training sessions on Business Process Re-Engineering and Modelling.I founded the creation of a technology provisioning platform used by the whole firm to fulfill their technology needs including event-driven activities, a request portal and fulfillment engine; it also included a catalogue of products and services, a role management system and automated and manual task assignment. I co-led a programme to re-engineer market data, desktop, mobile, software, telephony and entitlement processes to be fast, efficient and reduce risk.I ran a programme to build the critical infrastructure for a major new data centreI founded a community of cross-Technology Business Analysts and Project Management experts and led the community to provide role models for junior practitioners and defining standards for best practice.I created a functional architecture for division to ensure consistency and efficiency of design and implementation of organisational structure and systems. Show less I ran six major projects using a team of 3 people to:• Build out of the back up environments for Tier 1 applications in back up data centre including the migration to EMC SRDF data storage• Planned and executed whole data center failover tests• Planned and executed major migration of applications from one data center to another over only six weekends• Executed the upgrade of operation systems to Solaris 8 or above and hardware to minimum standard for all applications• Coordinated the decommission of legacy hardware and re-purposing of existing hardware• Reduced hardware maintenance bills by aligning contracts accurately to application resiliency requirementsI ran a program to review and re-engineering infrastructure services that had been outsourced. This involved reviewing the different services provided, volumes for each type of service, service level agreements and work effort required. The most complex and highest volume services were then re-engineered to greatly improve service levels, reduce work effort and reduce risk. In addition high volume but low complexity services were improved. The main output was a new portal where requests could be accurately captured and, where possible, automation was used for service delivery. Show less I led a team of 4 people to implement a project to meet regulatory requirements by preventing stock short sells from being executed on a down tick.I introduced a new process for developing software with the Equities business so that across all businesses and systems work was bundled into requirements gathering, implementation and testing phases to ensure quality of software under regulatory pressure.I migrated local systems to use global systems for Program Trading sales and trade execution.   I led a team of 30+ project managers to deliver a portfolio of 70+ infrastructure projects required by the operating companies.I completed a $35 million + project to relocate the main backup data center 19% under budget and six months ahead of original schedule. Over 240 people were engaged in the project from operating companies, infrastructure staff and vendors, including the oversight of a 29 person team of people provided by a professional services vendor to deliver the project. Completely transformed change delivery through creating a new structure and organisation, hiring new strong talent and instilling strong discipline and focus on delivery and quality.April 2017 to December 2018: Leader of Change covering the Information Services Division (Indices, Data, Analytics and Reporting). Helped re-structure a broad and complex portfolio of change projects into business aligned segments with tripartite ownership between the business, technology and change delivery teams.
