  Iowa State University’s PFF program was founded to help better prepare graduate students as future teachers, researchers, and citizens of the academic community. In PFF, we offer four semesters of formal coursework. PFF is designed with diversity and inclusion at its foundation and woven throughout all four courses using a team-based learning format with seminars, workshops, panels, guest speakers, reflection and journaling. PFF attracts diverse cohorts of graduate students and postdocs from all colleges and departments across campus. Approximately half are international students. Show less

  I am excited to join the faculty at the new University of Arizona College of Veterinary Medicine where I am helping to develop faculty, design the newly established College of Veterinary Medicine’s innovative curriculum based on active learning such as Team-Based Learning and Peer Instruction, develop ThinkSpace as an Open Educational Resource, and conduct collaborative discipline-based educational research. I would like to express my gratitude to the Iowa State University students, faculty, staff, and administrators, and those at Virginia Tech before them. You all prepared me for this important step.
