The complex consists of 4 concourses, 41 contact gates, 2 runways (4.8 km and 4.2 km long), the Emiri terminal and an 80 mts tall control tower with associated infrastructure.Responsibilities:• Manage the Contractor’s designer: Define the contractor’s design scope, clarify queries, resolve technical issues, chair bi-weekly design meeting and document proceedings, provide regular engineering inputs to the contractor and monitor and report design progress.• Documentation review: Coordinate with the contractor for finalizing design deliverables, review design deliverables related to architecture, manage the contractors design deliverables , resolve design issues and close out design phase by holding necessary workshops and meetings.• Liaise with Client and their consultants on design issues, document reviews and third party approvals.• Design changes: Manage all project change to ensure that change is incorporate in design milestones. The project is also aimed for LEED certification.In order to cater for the additional passenger traffic prior to the commissioning of the first phase of the New Midfield Terminal planned for 2020, some modifications and upgrading plans needed to be implemented to ensure optimum use of the existing Terminal Building facilities.
