  Managing 30-35 full time equivalents working in different business domains; Product development, E-government and E-Commerce. Responsibilities include:- Overseeing the operations, reporting directly to the general manager, ensuring that projects are on track and taking necessary actions upon deviation.- Participating in setting company’s strategic direction, initiatives, targets and long-term goals and supporting the general manger to achieve them.- Coordinating between the Egyptian and German teams with the objective of speeding up the communication and managing different stakeholders’ expectations.- Resource management including resource allocation, capacity planning across the projects, hiring and interviews, evaluations and appraisals. Show less E-government is one of the largest business domains at POET. I acted as the head of the E-government Business Unit, managing a team of 20 (3 consultants, 3 technical leads and 14 software engineers) that were responsible for 4-5 concurrent projects. Under my supervision the projects went through various phases starting with presales activities, conception and implementation to projects roll-out and onsite customer training, followed by maintenance. Customers included: AKS, BMVI, BVL, NADA, OWLV, VBB, RANA and DUVA .Further responsibilities:- Capacity planning across projects.- People Management, evaluation and appraisals.- Also acted as the project manager for one or two projects within the business unit.AKS: The executive body governing the city of Berlin.BMVI: The Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure.BVL: The Federal Office of Consumer Protection and Food Safety.NADA: The National Anti-Doping Agency of Germany.OWLV: The public transport authority covering the area Ostwestfalen-Lippe in Germany.VBB: The public transport authority covering the federal states of Berlin and Brandenburg.RANA: The Federal Environment Agency.DUVA: The Office of Citizen Service and Information Processing.
