      The first three years were spent training as a labourer for a Gang Supervisor. The job entailed working on site at various locations throughout the UK. After the training period I was promoted to Supervisor running my own team. The role involved liaising with Site Agents, Architects, Surveyors and various tradesmen. Predominantly new build working of Architects drawings from a bare steel shell. Continual Health and Safety training including certificates for First Aid Training, Fork Lift operating, scissor Lift and cherry picker Lifts. Show less

      Working within this highly competitive sales environment, specialising in mobile phone sales, my branch achieved the top UK sales over a 12 month period. I achieved this through the training and motivation of staff and by giving them the drive and determination to succeed and meet their targets.       With the opening of a Multi Million pound call centre in Birmingham I would be working for the World’s largest mobile phone network. My sales role was within a team responsible for promoting additional company products to end business users. My industry knowledge proved a valuable asset in this role and my contribution to the team was greatly received. Excellent communication skills ensured a strong relationship developed between supplier and customer and that sales targets were over achieved. In 2001 the company made the decision to move the sales operation to its head office in Berkshire. I accepted a position in Technical support and was involved in the testing and launch of Vodafone’s GPRS system. Although the position was interesting and often rewarding, it was not challenging enough. I missed the buzz of the sale. Monthly targets consistently over achieved. Liaising closely with the Installation Manager and submitting applications to local Authorities to obtain planning permission when required.
