  Synthetic Biology Engineer

  I was a part of the St Andrews iGEM team since my selection in January 2021, with the first whole team meetings which started in February. The iGEM competition officially began in the summer of 2021, where I worked for 10 weeks (June to August). I was a part of the wetlab team, where I worked in the laboratory on designing the overall gene circuit for the project. Some of my other activities included submitting grant proposals and being an interviewee for a number of inter-team collaborations. We presented our project at the 2021 iGEM Jamboree where my team was awarded a Silver Medal for our project, Shinescreen. Show less

  Lifeguard

  Worked over the summer as a lifeguard for Hastings Water Works at Lake Forest Country Club in Hudson, OH. Along with regularly testing pool water chemistry (alkalinity, pH, cholorine), monthly in-service training and patron surveillance were a common feature of this role.
