  This role focuses on identifying, assessing and researching appropriate land for the organization and managing the land use management processes and projects' feasibility studies and packaging. This is done through implementing systems, policies, and procedures for addressing all potential land and property opportunities. Furthermore, it involves conducting property and land assessments affected by disasters and proposing disaster interventions in terms of temporary and long term housing provision to disaster victims. In this regard, I identify, assess and negotiate with building and land owners for the acquisition or leasing of properties. I am also responsible for facilitating land ownership transfers from the national department of public works to local municipalities. I negotiate land development rights agreements with private land owners and traditional leaders for various rural housing projects, and conduct stage 1 studies for those projects. Show less
