      The Food Standards Agency (FSA) is a government department in the UK responsible for food safety, food policy, enforcement and, in Scotland, nutrition. This was a contract position. As Communications Manager I was responsible for leading the Communications team in overseeing events, media handling, crisis response, consumer focused PR and marketing activity and taking the lead in promoting the FSA key business and consumer messages via a variety of channels.       Brodies LLP is a UK top 50 law firm that operates in the UK and internationally. In this role I create and deliver communications strategy and plans. I predominantly work across external communications and work closely with the firm's boards, senior management team, partners and lawyers at all stages of their careers to support Brodies' business strategy and objectives. During 2024 and early 2025 I stepped in to cover for the head of communications during maternity leave, which included acting as the main communications point of contact for all board members and senior management, leading on risk monitoring, internal communications and people and team management, including conducting appraisals and recruitment.
