      Co-Founder / Director

Navy Pictures / Warbirds Forever is a family owned business that was created out of my passion for naval and aviation history and my love of helping military veterans receive the recognition they deserve for their service and sacrifice. Today Navy Pictures / Warbirds Forever has grown into a leading e-commerce source for naval and aviation embroidered apparel and photographic gifts for veterans, military history enthusiasts and military families. • Infotech

      Dec 2020 - now

I have always had a deep passion for software application development and data engineering and analysis, along with emerging technologies and cloud concepts. Developing data applications was my first full time job before law school and after 25+ years of helping technology related immigration clients as an immigration attorney, I yearned to pivot back to my first love of software and data application development. In continued pursuit of those passions, I am a Senior Solutions Engineer for Infotech in Gainesville, Florida, a leading construction industry software company. In my current role (and in previous Solutions Engineering roles), my primary responsibilities entail designing, building and testing dynamic, custom user data interfaces using Python and related data science libraries. The interfaces extend functionality of AASHTO's core enterprise construction management software modules for state DOT's to allow them to add customization to accommodate their specific testing and data logging processes. I work extensively with DOT agency representatives (customers) to capture their technical data acquisition, data analysis and data visualization needs to help guide software customization through user interface development and testing. Secondary responsibilities include configuring custom python modules on AWS cloud servers, database analysis and querying with SQL and LINQPad, development and integration of Power BI dashboards to supplement Python developed data interfaces, exploration of innovative data warehouse connections so agencies can better access and evaluate data, mentoring and training associate solutions engineers on our team, participating in weekly SCRUM meetings and periodically leading those meetings, conducting agency training, testing software patches, and collaborating with collective DOT agency task groups responsible for determining future software system enhancement and extensibility.
