  In this role, responsibilities included designing and implementing the S&C strategy for the National Team and Coaching Education Program. I collaborated closely with EIH Board Members to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Additionally, I recruited and managed a team of coaches and interns to deliver off-ice activities at EIH camps and events, and plan and execute the testing portion of the Showcase Combine.While in the lead position, I have been able to establish collaborations with Leeds-Beckett University to conduct research assessing the normative athletic and maturation standards or Elite English Youth Ice Hockey players, as well as successfully orchestrating the planning and implementation of the Showcase Testing Combine, where two years running we have collected athletic performance data from >400 of the best junior players in the country in a single weekend.   As the Flames S&C Coach, I was tasked to design and deliver the off-ice training portion while liaising with both the Head Coach and Assistant Coach to ensure the S&C portion tied in with the on-ice program. The program supported a roster of 24 players through a 72-game competitive season. Key responsibilities included conducting pre-season testing protocols, implementing a remote off-season training program integrated via a training app, leading gym-based and SAQ training sessions, and working closely with the team Sports Therapist and our partnered physiotherapy clinic to support player rehab assignments.   Train Hockey Smart

  The Train Hockey Smart mission was to build a sustainable business dedicated to improving the Strength and Conditioning resources and provision accessible for British Ice Hockey players. In the early days, the role included integrating training software to distribute remote S&C programs to players, and leading team/club gym based S&C or dry-land training sessions. Speaking at symposiums or running demonstrations to educate parents, players and coaches. Of late, growth has allowed us to open our first S&C facility at Ozone Ice Rink, meaning tasks have moved towards business start-up and management such as applying for funding, designing and building a gym facility, managing services from equipment/testing suppliers, recruiting a team, building a network of customers and partners including sports clubs and schools, starting our youth S&C academy, and leading the coaching content we provide. We currently train many of the England's top junior Ice Hockey players as they prepare for careers in North America, while also working with a selection of the GB Men's and Women's teams privately.
