      Activities and Societies: French school soccer team. As a licensed USNR and merchant officer I visited Africa where I utilized the French I studied at Kings Point. In going to Middlebury I was able to further improve and develop this skill. I use it frequentlyand take continuing education courses with the Alliance Francaise here in Norfolk which was oncea 50% French speaking city (Il y a long temps). I possess the ability to learn languages quickly.

Additionally have partakenin maritime network mapping risk seminar in conjunction with the JHU-APLand ad hoc participant in port security measures post 9/11 inMiami, Port Everglades and Baltimore working as marine surveyor andport captain.       I coordinate and maximize the capacity utilization of the world's largest commercial container ships. I minimize port time by maximizing port production. I insure appropriate dangerous cargo segregation and make sure ships are safe to sail from a segregation standpoint and from a trim and stability prospective. As a voyage manager being at at the pointed edge of supply chain management successfully forecasted and strategically planned the weight and space allocations for 7 companies in a vessel sharing agreement while keeping vessels in two services consistently on their proforma schedules and minimizing their carbon footprint by minimizing bunker consumption.Saved company 4.72 million USD in bunkers, canal fees and overtime scheduled avoidance.
