  At the start of 2020 my role heading the technical team at Man and Machine became more senior with a promotion to Technical Director. In this role, I take a more strategic position within the senior management team in the organisation to ensure that we continue to deliver outstanding technical deliverables whilst growing our abilities and offerings alongside industry requirements.As Technical Director of Man and Machine in the UK I manage a close team of talented and experienced engineers, encouraging them to continue to thrive in delivering at the best of their abilities for our clients across both manufacturing and construction markets, whilst ensuring that their capabilities and development is continued and kept up to speed with not only what the different industries call for, but aligning with their own career and personal aspirations. Show less In early 2016, I was given the opportunity to head the Technical Team at Man and Machine as Technical Development Manager. On top of my existing responsibilities as listed throughout this page, this new role allows me to use my in depth technical experience with the portfolio of Autodesk Products and the industries they sit in to grow our capability as a company.In recent years, I have taken a lead role running various MFG and BIM projects for clients across Europe. These have involved writing up BIM Execution Plans, advising on the creation of Employee Information Requirement documents and the configuration and documentation of Common Data Environments. With the experience of these and other historical projects behind me, I have established myself as the main “go to” contact for all Technical Projects which we are involved in, being responsible for the Technical Sign off and Approval of all technical work which Man and Machine complete.Another Key Role as Technical Development Manager is searching for new products which suite our company and fit our growth plan over the coming years. This is another area where I have been able to use my industry and technical knowledge to advise and help build relationships with new Software Vendors for our portfolio, giving our customers and partners more value through innovative technologies which speed up their current processes and improve their outputs. I have been a key figure in the adoption of several new and key technologies over the past 2 years which have contributed greatly to the astonishing growth of our company. Show less In November 2011 Man and Machine Ltd made the switch from an Autodesk Value Added Distributor, to an Autodesk Value Added Reseller. This transition opened up new responsibilities for both the company and myself.Having to move from indirect, to direct sales my role would now include dealing directly with end users of Autodesk Software rather than working through a reseller channel. I was a key part of the transition period, working closely with other members of the company to ensure that internal processes for the technical team were amended as necessary to suit possible new requirements as a VAR. Over the following months, these processes needed perfecting as we learned more about our new venture as a business, finally settling on choosing, configuring and running all technical support and services through Microsoft Dynamics CRM which I participated in and oversaw.From a technical point of view, I focus on all things Autodesk and Design related, from product demonstrations, standard training courses, bespoke training courses, general consultancy, skills gap analysis, pre and post sales support and technical support. My role is extremely varied, meaning I have to think on my feet and be able to cover a different responsibility every day.As an Autodesk Certified Professional, and Autodesk Certified Instructor on AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk 3ds max and Autodesk Revit I am able to use my knowledge of these design products to assist, teach, advise and help customers. Putting these certifications alongside an in depth knowledge of several other Autodesk applications such as Vault, Showcase, Product Design Suite, Factory Design Suite, Building Design Suite and more, I am well suited to offering workflows between products to meet user or company requirements.On top of the Autodesk applications I am also proficient in both Solibri and Aconex, using both technologies for large scale multi-country and discipline BIM projects with Man and Machine. Show less Supporting all Man and Machine resellers on the Autodesk solutions that we supplied, from AutoCAD to Autodesk Inventor, 3ds Max, Autodesk Vault and more. This included post and pre sales support as well as Autodesk Subscription queries.Many of the support cases logged were urgent and, in some cases, mission critical to the end user. Management of these cases were key, from prioritising in order to keep to SLA's, to keeping customers informed of updates on their cases where necessary. Being able to deal with several urgent, and many more lower priority cases at any one time was a day to day responsibility for my role. Show less
