  • Full P&L responsibility.• Initiated community discussions with landowners around Telefomin, Sandaun Province, PNG for an oil & gas exploration program. Consultations centred on empowering the local communities as well as planning the framework for land access & compensation claims. Conceived impacts on communities were investigated. Infrastructure, logistics & exploration program requirements were heavily focused on. • Instrumental in opening discussions with various sub-contractors for the supply of services such as drilling services, seismic surveys, aviation support, sea & road freight, customs clearance, and consumables. • Labour hire, predominantly within the mineral exploration and mining industry. • Resolved numerous, complex freight & local logistics requirements for exploration programs in PNG.• Fleet management & theft prevention procedures implemented successfully.• Landowner negotiations for a new venture in Morobe Province, PNG. • Government liaison including Mineral Resource Authority. • Designed, implemented & trained staff on improved work methodologies and change management.• Responsible for managing and oversight of QA audits, relating to mineral sample integrity. • Assisted several companies with business development & market research. • Beta tester for Encom Software (MapInfo, Discover and Discover 3D).• Statutory reports prepared for various PNG Government Departments.• Conversant with the PNG laws, including Immigration, Labour, Construction and Mining.   • Was employed by Clarke Energy Australia to investigate the Papua New Guinea market for GE Jenbacher Reciprocating Gas Engines. • Set up the Port Moresby office. • Explored EPC business within an emerging market. • Long term strategic planning incorporating the PNG Governments 2035 domestic power vision of a 75% increase in uptake. • Formed appropriate relationships with numerous entities including PNG Power, Oil Search Limited, GE, Total, ExxonMobil, Kumul Petroleum Holdings, Repsol. • In country management of the Papa Lea-Lea LNG Power Station Application (~$159MM). • In country management of the Wafi-Golpu JV Power Study (~$500K). • Working in partnership with New Britain Palm Oil to develop numerous 2MW Biogas power stations around Papua New Guinea. • Presented at numerous networking functions in Port Moresby. • Finished amicably with Clark after writing a position paper for them about the PNG market. Suggested that the timing of their in-country endeavours and the market in general was not conducive to them getting a ROI in the near term. Show less

Managed over 350 local staff. • Mayor push on increasing revenue and reducing accounts payable.• Increased the site margin to 46%, budgeted site margin was 24%.• Worked with maintenance manager to improve rig availability, worked with site supervisors to improve rig utilisation, resulting in an increase of production meters drilled by ~20%, • Total rework of site rosters to increase efficiency and reduce flight costs by ~30%• Stronger controls on asset management successfully implemented, leading to a reduction in theft. • Strong emphasis on improving client relationships.   • Oceania Consulting was a new venture designed to evaluate new and existing business endeavours in the South Pacific, including marketing and strategy. • Since its inception projects evaluated in Madang Provence, Western Highlands Province, Morobe Provence and Central Provence, PNG. • Industries covered thus far include alluvial gold mining, civil construction, engineering solutions, wastewater management, mini and micro hydro and solar power systems. Asset protection. • Advisor on several mineral exploration programs and mining design ideas in PNG, Bougainville, and Vanuatu. • Freight solutions and logistics advisor to several projects in PNG and Vanuatu. • Spearheaded a software development companies push into the PNG marker. o ITGalax wanted to market custom applications and software (ICT) to the Mining, Exploration and Oil & Gas industries in PNG. o Won a contract with OilMin and Exxon to develop a HSE Application plus associated backend software. Total project value is USD150,000+. o Worked on design and develop proposals for Drill Connect (Digital DDR and Rig prestart) and Hebou Construction (Digital Fixed and Mobile Asset Prestart and maintenance procedures, including parts ordering). o Worked extensively on developing new sales pipeline. o Instrumental in ITGalax being awarded the dealership for Panasonic Toughbook’s and Tablets, SOTI security software and Sentry monitoring systems. o Fostered new business relationships with NKW, Corps Security, HiLift, Freight Management, IPI, Kina Bank, BSP Bank.
