  ECC’s Design Build Center of Excellence was formed in 2007 and is comprised of a specialized group of professionally licensed engineers and architects who serve as design managers. It is the mission of the DBCX to deliver architectural and engineering excellence and leadership in the fields of planning, design, cost estimating, value engineering or value enhancement (VE), and field construction oversight for ECC’s design-build programs throughout the stages of business development, proposal writing, procurement and execution strategy development, and project execution. Further, the DBCX supports project teams by managing design activities performed by A/E partner firms; remains abreast of technical, client, and industry trends in design-build procurement and construction technology; researches & pursues design-build and construction technology innovations; trains ECC and its subcontractors on ECC’s design-build program; and improves the design-build program based on feedback and lessons learned.
