  Activities and Societies: I currently go to weekly debates with the philosophical society that cover a considerable variety of topics including the existence of evil, the necessity of feminism and the necessity of government and democracy. As a religion, philosophy and ethics student my experiences as a student have been largely varied. I have learned a lot about what both world religions and new religions consist of. I have also spent a lot of time reading about a debating the many complex philosophical issues that we all face within the world.

  During an eighteen month period I worked for Checkpoint on a few occasions during the Tesco security changeover. This involved putting metal lined stickers on all the products that needed to be security tagged. Each day we had a target number of products that needed to be tagged that day. If this target was not met this would leave the products open to theft.

  My responsibilities including serving customers and ensuring they are happy with their experience. This often also means I have to deal with complaints. Since being promoted a new role I have taken on is ensuring other members of staff are correctly trained and are coached if they are not performing tasks correctly. I also make sure we provide a smooth experience for both staff and customers by making sure we have the adequate equipment and stock which varies on a daily basis. During my time at McDonald's I have had a lot of experience with working in a fast paced environment. Despite this, there are often quiet periods where I have had to carry out tasks whilst also keeping in mind that customers and their experience are our main priority. This sometimes means delegating tasks to make sure they are completed to ensure the upkeep of the restaurant whilst also focusing on the service of customers. Show less
