      • Created and conducted an independent research project on the genotypic superiority of staghorn corals to avoid contracting white band disease• Set up water bath, overflow tub, drainage, UV lighting, two external power supplies, ambient water flow, disease and control holding tanks, four experiment tanks, and one control tank • Tested pH, salinity, dissolved oxygen, flow, and temperature for each tank twice a day as well as for three holding tanks that supplied the lab with water• Recorded data for disease progression, rate, and prevalence and performed statistical analysis on the data• Wrote a paper and gave a poster presentation on the results of this research Show less
