      Founded in 1972, Jean Isaacs San Diego Dance Theater’s mission is to create andperform intelligent dances that breathe life into the people of our region andbeyond, and to provide access to the viewing, training in, and performing ofIsaacs’ dances by diverse artists. SDDT contributes to community art by offeringsite-specific events. For example, Isaacs created “Trolley Dances” in 1999,providing professional dance performances at multiple trolley stops for two weekends in the fall. Trolley Dances is a two-hour trolley tour attended by thousands of San Diegans every year. SDDT currently reaches over 15,000 local students, adults, and seniors through our Annual Season,San Diego Dance Theater School, Aging Creatively (dance classes for seniors), Live Arts Fest, YoungChoreographers Showcase, Summer Dance Workshops, the annual Januaryrepertory show, and outreach and residencies at middle and high schools.
