      The Bachelor of Applied Information Systems Technology is a 4-year degree based on a 2+2 model.Years 1 & 2 - diploma in a related field appropriate to the major concentration of study. Years 3 & 4 - 2 semesters of academic courses in a major area of study and 2 semesters of credit work experience.Students can choose from two major/course streams depending on their area of specialization. The two major streams are Information Systems and Network Management.A Chair champions the program and ensures student success through instructional and curriculum excellence. As Program champion, the Chair is considered a content expert and is responsible to support program development and growth; high quality and relevant curriculum; industry liaison; program promotional activities and identifying and recommending revenue generation opportunities. The Chair is also responsible to identify and promote instructor learning/development opportunities, perform classroom observations, provide coaching and mentoring, and promote the health and the well-being of staff and students. The Chair promotes applied research activity within the program through collaboration and participation in related projects. Show less
