Show less As a Program Coordinator, it is my responsibility to promote public cord blood banking, to educate the mother/donor on the procurement process, and to oversee the collection and procedural paperwork of umbilical blood units. This position is supported by the Carolinas Cord Blood Bank at Duke University. The program’s goal is to build a racially and ethnically diverse cord blood inventory to improve the chances of patients finding a suitable donor for transplantation and to support research geared towards regenerative medicine.
