  *Coordinated new program upfront quality and engineering activities with Tier 1 suppliers of the Shifting Systems stampings and friction material for all new transmission makes by utilizing APQP.*Starting with the risk assessment before final sourcing, an ASQE's responsibilities continued through to PPAP and Run at Rate.*By monitoring the supplier's quality system using their Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis charts, process flow diagram, control charts and other various APQP documentation, part quality was demonstrated and improved.*Engineering and process changes were incorporated through the Change Management process.*Worked on several simultaneous advanced programs which entailed training the suppliers of transmission friction material, stampings, springs and retainers in the APQP method, guiding the supplier through the PPAP process and paperwork with responsibility for signoff, tool and gage construction timing monitoring and testing, and problem solving on pertinent process issues.
